Non-maintained settings: Joint Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and Estyn inspections
When Estyn and CIW resumed joint inspections in January 2021, we suspended the use of overall summative gradings on a temporary basis following the pandemic.
From 27 February 2023 we will reintroduce the publication of overall summative gradings for our joint inspections. We will continue to apply our follow-up procedures and CIW will continue to apply their securing improvement and enforcement policy as necessary.
