Readiness for additional learning needs reforms
The report examines the extent to which maintained primary and secondary schools, pupil referral units (PRUs), and education otherwise than at school (EOTAS) settings are preparing to meet the demands of the new Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018 (National Assembly for Wales, 2018).
Recommendation
Local authorities, regional consortia and schools should:
- R1 Remain up-to-date with all guidance and training materials produced by the Welsh Government and support staff to implement the additional learning needs reforms effectively
