We are recruiting for an Assistant Director (Inspection)
£61,090 - £71,475 (Grade 6)*
Location - our Cardiff office, with offsite working around 40% of the role.
We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong track record of successful professional practice and leadership or management experience in a field of education or training that we inspect. We would welcome applications from candidates with experience of the successful application of quality assurance and improvement approaches and/or inspection in practice. In addition, the successful candidate will have knowledge, experience and understanding of the current context and issues in approaches to quality improvement and inspection in the Welsh public sector in general, and in particular, in the field of education and training in Wales and beyond. This role demands a talented, pro-active and solution-focused leader. Successful candidates will be capable of inspiring staff with their positive leadership. They will have excellent people-management and communication skills that will enable them to command the confidence of a broad range of external stakeholders in government and the education and training professions, whilst also getting the best out of our own staff.

*This post attracts a Recruitment and Retention Allowance of £3,500 per annum (currently under review). Starting salary will normally be the first scale point above your current salary (within the salary range for the role)
