Over the last two years, we have been developing our new arrangements for inspecting local government education services in response to the changing landscape and context of local government work in Wales.
During this period, we have involved and consulted widely with our key stakeholders.
During the autumn and spring terms, we carried out two pilot inspections.
We have considered the feedback from the pilot inspections, and are proposing to change our approach to aspects of our inspection process.
We want your views on:
- the content of the proposed inspection guidance
- our approach to inspecting local government service areas (Inspection Area 2)
- our proposal not to use summative gradings for the three inspection areas
- feeding back at the end of our inspections.
