Tracking progress to support pupils’ additional learning needs

Ysgol Esgob Morgan has a pupil centred-approach to additional learning needs. Staff track pupil progress in detail to identify learners who require additional support. An intervention package allows staff to see which pupils need to be added to, or removed from the intervention programme. This approach ensures that all staff are empowered to support pupils who have additional learning needs. Highly skilled and dedicated staff at Ysgol Bro Gwydir deliver a variety of schemes and interventions that have had a significant effect on pupils’ standards of wellbeing and attainment. Pupils have benefited from a raising confidence club, a big adventure club, pupil focus groups and more. A system which tracks achievement and emotional development has been very successful in improving pupils’ outcomes and wellbeing.
