Creating strategies to develop pupils’ independence

Staff at Coed Eva Primary School have taken part in research to create strategies based on pupils’ attitudes to learning. The strategies were created to develop pupils’ confidence, independence and ability to overcome challenges in their learning. The school promotes a culture of inquiry and discovery by developing characters with relevant stories. These characters give pupils the opportunity to develop their independent learning skills, and reflect on how they can use the characters’ learning traits in their lessons. Read more >
