All employees are responsible for ensuring their behaviour meets the standards expected of them. The Civil Service Code and Estyn’s Staff Handbook and Employment Guide outline the key principles of behaviour expected from all employees.

All cases of misconduct should be dealt with promptly, transparently, fairly and consistently.

Everyone involved in the discipline process is expected to:

  • show respect for others;
  • work together to resolve the issue; and
  • maintain confidentiality.
