As Ann Keane prepares to leave Estyn after over 5 years as Chief Inspector and 31 years at the inspectorate, she would like to express her thanks.

“I consider myself to have been privileged to work with so many respected teachers, headteachers and other leaders, government officials and other education professionals during my time as chief inspector and, before that, as HMI. As I hand over the role of Chief Inspector to my colleague, Meilyr Rowlands, I wish him and all my other colleagues in Estyn well for the future.”

Meilyr Rowlands will be Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales from 1 June.
